We suspected the Huawei Mate 9 would show up at IFA, but the upcoming flagship is still to make the transition to official status. A new leak confirms that there will be three tears of Mate 9, each with different memory and color options.
The top model packs 6GB of RAM and 256GB storage. It has exclusive on the Black color and will cost CNY 4,700 ($700/€630). Benchmarks have shown that the phone will have a 6" screen, Kirin 960 chipset and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. As you can see in the image, the Huawei Mate 9 packs a dual-camera system with 12MP sensors and 4K video, plus an 8MP/1080p selfie camera.
The other two models have 4GB of RAM but differ on storage - 128GB and 64GB. They cost CNY 3,700 ($550/€500) and CNY 3,200 ($480/€430) respectively. The 128GB model also comes in Brown and Pink, while the 64GB only offers the base colors - White, Gold, Graphite. There's a CNY 3,400 version of the 64GB model, which (if we're reading this right) is a dual-SIM model (presumably the pricier models are dual-SIM only).
No word on a launch date, but it seems that Huawei has finalized the feature/pricing details on the Mate 9 so it can't be long now.
