New Huawei MateBook joins Microsoft's ad that poked fun at the iPad Pro

Huawei doesn’t want Microsoft to have all the fun. Last month, Microsoft ran an ad making jabs at the iPad Pro. Microsoft took the opportunity to show viewers that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 offers a trackpad, more powerful processor, runs full desktop office, and has external ports. Meanwhile the iPad Pro “Just got a keyboard”

Huawei is releasing an ad campaign of its own with the Matebook, and joins the party showing off its light build, and fingerprint sensor, since that’s what all it has over the Surface Pro 4. So although the Huawei Matebook runs full Windows 10, just like the Surface Pro 4, it doesn’t have the external ports that are on the Pro 4’s body, but the Matebook does come with a short USB-C to USB-A cable, as the Matebook relies on a single USB-C port for all of its connections.
The ad is Huawei saying “me too”, but the ad is also important for Huawei as it establishes the brand’s presence in the US and the brand’s entry into the Windows PC market.
The Huawei Matebook is out and available starting at $699 for the Core-m3/128GB model, however, this only gets you the actual tablet PC. If you want the full setup, the price begins to skyrocket from there. You’ll need to shell out some extra cash for the other accessories like the stylus ($60), folio keyboard ($130), and the dock ($90).
